I was here, and my written work is my legacy...
All I ever wanted to do is make a difference, speak my mind and soul and do it in a way that is creatively artistic. I found that in writing. Formulating my thoughts, my heart, fears and accomplishments into words that others can relate to. I hope to inspire others. I'm an artist. I'm a filmmaker. I'm a director. I'm a writer. I invite you to visit my site, and to get a glimpse of my work, my potential, my goals and what I aspire to do.
A Brief BiographyIn short, Alexa was born in Lima, Peru. She was raised in Long Beach, California. The only daughter of six, to parents Roberto and Carmen Polar. Alexa graduated with honors from high school and was offered a scholarship for her written work. Instead of attending college, she decided to pursue a philanthropic route and attempted to sign up for the Peace Corp. Since she wasn't a full United States Citizen, Alexa decided to enlist in the military, where she served a brief but memorable term with the United States Army. After returning home, Alexa attended college and worked as a freelance writer. From time to time, Alexa would produce documentary films for nonprofit organizations, to raise funding donating 100% of the proceeds towards each cause. She earned a degree in Paralegal studies, and worked for a law firm in the entertainment field. With unjust and unforeseen circumstances out of her control, as life tossed a wrench.

Alexa felt the need and force to start life over. As she did, she found it a surprising blessing as she was taken towards the better pathway that lead her to meet some of the most amazing people in the industry. She formed Female Filmmakers Fuse, a 501(3)(c) nonprofit organization that assist and provides a positive platform for women (and those that identify as women) in the field of television and film.
